Handmade item usage recommendations
Wooden medallions with genuine leather, cotton or other cord are made of natural materials and are susceptible to humidity (water or any other liquid, including chemicals, hygiene products, biological liquids, rain/water drops and other) damage and must be kept dry.
During crafting process, natural colouring may be applied to a medallion, which is also susceptible to water and any other liquid damage, which may cause item color change and body/clothing and other item colouring by medallion colors.
Items, created of the genuine leather and in some cases, coloured with acrylic or other synthetic color, may be moisture resistant, and may be worn and cleansed gently with dry, soft fiber tissue. Genuine leather items coloured with natural colors should be cleansed same way, but in most cases, these items are not moisture resistant. Most possible item damage cases happen due to taking shower wearing the item, exposing it to the human sweat or wearing it under the rain.
Handcrafted items are made of natural materials and are not subject to chemical substances processing for their life prolongation, therefore their life may be shorter then similar item life, which have been processed with chemicals.
Medallion cleansing should be performed using natural material tissue (prefferably cotton, velveteen, suede) , gently removing dust from the item.
How long does handmade item life last?
From natural materials created handmade item life can last many years, as long as it can last just couple days or even hours. If you use your item seldom, do not let it have a contact with sweat or other biological liquids, as long as do not expose it to any chemistry or high moisture level, keep it in a place with the moisture level suitable to item material, clean it as advised, do not through it or step on it or otherwise harm it physically, your item may stay usable for many years. If your item is accidentally exposed to high level of moisture, or chemistry, or falls down or is damaged in any other way, it’s life may end at that second.
Usage of the damaged item
Usage of the damaged item is strictly not recommended. Before using/wearing item, make sure it is in good condition, not broken and can not harm you.
